Mixing is most of the work here, and most of it is spent on the voice. A record arrives with the performance already in it; the job is to get everything else out of that performance's way, then build the space it sits in so it reads on a phone speaker and still holds up loud.
Sessions run on a mix of analog front end and a fully recallable in-the-box workflow. The practical consequence is that a mix can be revisited months later, or moved between rooms, and come back exactly as it was — so a revision is a revision rather than a reconstruction.
Attended mixes are welcome in Los Angeles. Everything else runs remote, which is how most of the catalogue on this site was made.
